The 70% reduction in measurement time compared to Laser Plus is achieved through the new Analog measurement. The Analog measurement is a continuous edge scan instead of number of digital points along the cutting edge. This process also eliminates variations caused by machine standing idle, errors due to manual wheel corrections and the requirement of skilled operators.  In its place LaserUltra has increased accuracy, productivity, and reduction of scrap.

One highlight of HALCON 21.11 is the addition of instance segmentation technology to the range of deep learning functions. This technology combines the benefits of semantic segmentation with those of object detection and enables the pixel-precise assignment of objects to different classes. It is particularly useful in applications where objects are very close together, touch each other, or overlap. This is the case, for example, when gripping randomly arranged objects from bins ("random bin picking") and when identifying and measuring naturally grown structures, such as organic material.

The thermal stability is exceptionally high due to an innovative machine design and a rigid 5‐axis configuration. Field tests have demonstrated an unusually high Cpk process capability. Operating at the optimum temperature range of 200° – 210°F as the original Tru Temp XL, TRU TEMP 2nd GEN makes it easy to use in-house and operator friendly. The chemistry is easy to manage and contains no EPA regulated metals, so rinse waters are generally sewerable by neutralizing the pH with a typical discharge range of pH 7-11. Additionally, reaching this pH range takes only 20% of the acid than other processes. Since TRU TEMP 2nd GEN requires no effluent treatment, the initial capital investment is only about half of other blackening finishes. 

The machine’s repeatability and top quality result from a pure atmosphere during printing, a consistently low-oxygen environment with fewer than 25 parts per million. This solution ensures excellent microstructures, very high material density and stable mechanical properties.

The SCHUNK ROTA-M flex 2+2 clamping is done in a self-locking manner, and the clamping condition is signaled via indicating pins. The standard chuck sizes 260 to 1200 achieve jaw strokes from 9.5 mm to 17.8 mm and high clamping forces from 100 kN to 180 kN. As of size 800, users benefit from the weight-reduced design. The chuck face is equipped with grooves, and fixed stops allow the chuck to also be used as a vise. Moreover, the large sizes are designed for use on vertical lathes.

As with all of GF Machining Solutions’ LASER machines, the LASER P 400 series offers repeatable high performance, consistent accuracy and unvarying quality. Fully digitized texturing makes it easy to texture, mark, engrave and add functional surfaces to parts, molds and dies, even when dealing with complex 3D parts.

The Mikron MILL P 800 U S allows shops to machine components fully on a single machine and eliminate transfer-related part errors, along with stacked tolerances, for enhanced quality of finished parts. This scalable solution is perfectly suited for automation, with a smaller footprint compared to the Mikron MILL P 800 U. This makes it the ideal machine when using two machines or more. It has a maximum loading capability of 1,000 kg (2,204.62 lbs) and is suitable for heavy roughing to fine finishing.
