With the function block for dynamic muting, it is possible to configure tool class, muting end point or protected field modes simply and quickly. Safety functions such as position, speed, braking ramp, overrun distances and protected field can also be monitored. The function block ensures that dynamic muting is initiated once the check is complete. Manual programming is no longer required, so the press application is in operation quickly and safely.

Within the solution package, the safety laser scanner PSENscan enables safeguarding and productive area monitoring of mobile platforms. Flexbar’s Visorguard-LED™ system is water and coolant proof and installs in minutes on CNC mills, conventional mills, drill presses and more.  The adjustable Flexbar® arm permits setting of the Visorguard shield at the correct height and angle for each setup, then locks rigid.  The special wing-shaped shield flips up to load a part and down for machining.  A special spring-loaded shaft allows the shield to stay put with no spring back.

In addition to the microSD card, the solution includes the ‘iShield Camera Card Tool’ (iCCT) software, which is a free download from the Swissbit website. With iCCT, the card's security settings are activated via the computer before it is used for the first time. The user PIN is also set here. The card is then ready to deploy and will reliably capture all recorded camera data. iShield Camera supports Loop Recording, where a camera deletes the oldest recordings to make room for new data.

The scanGrid2 safely detects objects of a variety of sizes within the freely configurable protective field zones, can evaluate multiple fields, and can execute configurable monitoring cases. A warning field zone extending up to four meters beyond the safe working range can be employed for non-safety actions.
