A spray with which workpiece dimensions and colour values can be digitised in one scan: AESUB transparent. The workpieces are sprayed uniformly with AESUB transparent from a distance of 15 to 20 centimetres. After just a few seconds, a matt, transparent layer is generated on the workpiece’s surface. In addition to capturing the surface contours, optical scanners can simultaneously capture the colour values of the object being measured.

For multi-axis subtractive machining, there is a new option to preview the automatically detected deburr edges before calculating the toolpath. The 5-flute square-end end mill with sharp edges, chamfers and corner radii joins a 4-flute square-end and ball-nose end mill with both straight and Weldon® shanks as part of WIDIA’s WCE solid end mill portfolio. The WCE4, a 4-flute geometry solid end mill, combines the asymmetrical index and variable helix features to excel in operations like full slots and heavy cuts. 

Today’s MAX System introduces the latest innovation known as Focused Deburring. These multi-axis machines feature up to four 1- to 5-axis heads or towers, which can process simultaneously or in sequence within a single working environment. This ability allows the machines to perform multiple operations on many edges and surfaces of a part at the same time. For example, a single MAX System can remove a protruding burr from an 8” spur gear, create a precision .060” chamfer on both sides of the same gear, and wash the part within 30 seconds.

TC388 Supreme (50–58 RC) and TC389 Supreme (55–65 RC) feature new patent-pending cutting geometries that fully shear off the root of the chip when reversing, thus torque peaks are minimized. This prevents fractures, prolongs the tool life, and increases process reliability. Furthermore, the new taps are coated using Walters new HiPMS coating technology which creates a better surface finish, and higher thread form quality due to this innovative new coating process. Lubrication with oil, which was often necessary until now, is no longer required. Instead, standard water-based emulsions can be used, optimizing handling and saving additional machining costs.

The unit uses multiple spray nozzles on its circumference, providing a steady and pressurized stream. Each nozzle can be plugged or opened to create customized spray patterns. Added spindle rotation ensures that coolant reaches virtually everywhere inside the machine. Residing in the tool changer, and programmed just as any other, the Jergens Washdown Tool is deployed periodically at scheduled intervals. This automation shortens cleaning time and supports long machining cycles, even lights out manufacturing periods when no operator is present.

Hamar Laser’s L-703B Self-Centering Bore Alignment System makes bore alignment easier and up to 75% faster than competing systems. The new L-703B Laser replaces the L-705 Laser for applications where the laser is mounted externally. Smaller and lighter than the L-705, the L-703B works with Hamar Laser’s patented, self-centering targets that require only one measurement per bore. Applications include engine blocks, compressor bores, cylinder bores, shaft bearing bores, stern tubes and more.

The PS2000 variants combine high-performance power supply units from Beckhoff with the ultra-fast EtherCAT communication standard. This allows the control system to directly process extensive measurement data and internal device diagnostics information and establish remote access to power supplies. It also provides advanced monitoring features for the DC output (for system monitoring) or the AC input (for source monitoring).

Using Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI®) technology, the bubbles protect a variety of metals, including carbon steel, aluminum, copper, brass, silver and stainless steels, without leaving film or residue on packaged items. CorShield® Bubble Bags are non-toxic and recyclable. Components that need  protection are placed in the bags and in matter of hours, the vapor from the VpCI® bubbles saturates the enclosed airspace.

The miniature lead screw line is available with either standard or anti-backlash lead nuts to optimize positional accuracy, friction and repeatability. The anti-backlash lead nut design reduces friction between the nut and screw threads in order to optimize efficiency while still eliminating play between the lead screw and nut. 

The down-thrust clamp GN 9192 made from case-hardened steel can be fastened to a machine table with T-slots or to a fixture plate. The clamping arm can then be swiveled by hand and positioned over the inserted workpiece in any position. Turning and tightening the clamping screw or the adjustable hand lever lowers the clamping arm to hold the workpiece in place. After release, workpieces can be removed again from above just as quickly and easily once the clamping arm has been swiveled to the side – even when space is tight.

ALUMA-CLING RED reduces the number of steps to obtain a clean, bright surface. Easy to use, this proven formulation can help manufacturers and fabricators to clean and use aluminum that might otherwise be scrapped due to staining issues. In addition to removing sub-surface staining, it is ideal for removing soil and laser scale, heat treat scale, and white oxidation from aluminum, aluminum substrates, mild steel, stainless steel, copper, and more.

The swivel feet with a steel double bolt down base includes two screw holes enabling secure surface attachment. The threaded female design accepts inserts from M6 up to M16 while the foot diameter varies from 40mm to 100mm. The swivel joint allows 50° forward and backwards tilt across a 360° horizontal plane, providing flexible installation whatever the floor angle. This design is manufactured in durable steel with a nickel plating to resist corrosion and provide a bright finish.

DTect-IT is a versatile CNC sensor analysis system that takes in data from a multitude of high-precision sensors. The surface roughness measurement application uses the Blum-Novotest TC64 RG Digilog Probe as the sensor input in DTect-IT to analyze the surface of a part.
