Modular System G2612/2622 Deep Grooving and Parting Tools

Walter has introduced the Walter Cut—Modular System G2612/2622, new SX system tools for deep grooving and parting operations that reportedly save time and cost. Suitable for all machine types, and for grooving and parting-off ranging from small to large diameters, the system allows users to simply replace the module to change to a different operation or insert size, without removing the holder from the machine.

Walter Cut G1511-P Grooving Tool

The new Walter Cut G1511-P grooving tool with precision coolant supply, available in 1.0 in. shank sizes, provides long tool life and high productivity, among other benefits. It is suitable for universal use, performing grooving, parting-off, recessing and face grooving with GX insert cutting widths from 0.024 to 0.250-in. (0.6 to 6.35 mm), and can perform radial and axial grooving operations without loss of stability.

STCR/L-CHP Toolholder

Tungaloy Corp. announces the expansion of TetraForceCut, the grooving tool series with four-cornered inserts: the STCR/L-CHP toolholder with a coolant hole for high-pressure internal coolant supply. (Max. 2,000 psi.) The new STCR/L-CHP toolholder delivers ample coolant to the optimal position of the cutting edge through the coolant hole, achieving stable and long tool life.

Dovetail grooving inserts, Static O-Ring Grooves

Manufactured by Kaiser Tool Co., the THINBIT GROOVE ‘N TURN line includes Dovetail grooving inserts and Static O-Ring Grooves. The inserts are for machining O-ring dovetail grooves with 66° undercut angles. According to the company, the insert design is optimized for strength by using a left/OD and right/ID insert pair to generate the groove form. Static O-Ring Grooves are available in OD and face grooving styles.
