The use of touch screens, panels, displays, and monitors on production machines has now become common practice and is defined by the VESA standard for mounting monitors. Winco utilizes this standard to create a practical interface in the form of a monitor mount that is coordinated with the existing portfolio. The monitor mount is focused on the core functionality, and the connection stud makes it extremely simple to fasten the mount to all tube clamp connectors according to the given installation situation. 5-axis milling post processors that will unleash the highest productivity on SINUMERIK-controlled machine tools. These new post processors were developed utilizing the technical expertise of Siemens CNC engineers.

The new portable unit brings features that were previously only available in PC-based systems to the mobile world. Features including automatic creation of measuring reports in PDF format, integration of a barcode or data matrix scanner, and printing reports to letter size paper are now all standard. An optional portable printer is also available. 

This photometer detects an optical input signal and converts it into a precision, logarithmic voltage signal with high resolution. The optical power meter is used to find the maximum optical intensity quickly when integrated in fully automatic, optical FMPA alignment systems. The logarithmic scaling of the output signal is particularly advantageous for fast scans because the signal strength can fluctuate by several orders of magnitude within a few milliseconds.

AIMS Metrology, a manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines (CMM) based in Dayton, Ohio, in July introduced its new Summit 10.10.10, a CMM engineered with a 5-axis REVO-2 dynamic scanning probe and 1 meter cubed capacity.

The Solid Carbide Radius Fillet End Mills are configured for different radius filleting. Available with two, three and four flutes, they also feature a cylindrical shank DIN 6535 HA. The CR-Supercut High Feed End Mills are designed for high feed rates with shallow cutting depths for a wide range of materials up to 56 HRC. The LNS Fox SC2 330 Spray Cabin has a high-efficiency filtration system that eliminates more than 99% of contaminants (Afnor 440060). A powerful, low-noise, single-phase fan motor draws air at 344 CFM through a washable pre-filter and then through the long-life, easily accessible main filter. An acrylic visor helps protect operators from oil and debris spray.

With the new TDM Global Line 2020 release, users achieve greater transparency regarding their tooling costs and key figures. This is possible because each user can now individually configure their TDM Global Line dashboard. The relevant reports can then either be displayed in the dashboard, printed out or simply transferred to Excel. 

The software allows users to design metrology fixturing set-ups without having to use co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other inspection devices. This reduces the amount of set-up time and increases productivity. It can be used with a CAD model of the part, which is imported into FixtureBuilder. The entire fixturing set-up, along with the part, can then be exported into inspection programming software.
