The multifunctional turning-boring-milling center is designed for complete machining of complex chuck and shaft parts up to 670 mm swing over bed. Turning, milling, drilling, hobbing, shaping, gun drilling as well as ID machining can be performed under any angle of the tool. The interpolation of up to 5 axes makes machining of any geometrical profile possible. Large safety windows provide the best possible overview of the working area.

This grade is now capable of longer tool life, greater reliability, and approximately 30 percent greater performance in stainless steels (ISO M) and heat-resistant super alloys (ISO S), and up to 75 percent greater performance in steels (ISO P) than comparable grades. With the launch phase now complete, the PVD grade WSP45G Tiger·tec® Gold can be used universally in all standard Walter milling cutters.

Users can machine this collet attachment to adapt it to match the internal contour of the workpiece they are clamping. However, what makes this new exhibit from AMF so special is that no through holes are needed in the workpiece to achieve safe internal clamping. With mechanical lateral actuation, workpieces with a blind hole can also be clamped securely and without distortion.

FixRMill uses round inserts for machining dies and molds, especially complex male-female main parts such as cavities and projections. The round inserts feature anti-rotation notches on the insert clearance side and matching locations on the pocket seats. These notches not only prevent the insert from rotating under heavy load but also help the operator to get a true, distinct index every time he/she goes for a new edge, allowing all of the insert to be utilized.

The blue laser, paired with an intelligent measuring system, provides high-precision measurement of various tool parameters on cylindrical tools with diameters from one to 52 mm. Piezoelectric materials convert electrical energy into mechanical energy and vice versa; the so-called inverse piezo effect is harnessed for the generation of oscillation and precision motion. The most recent indexing plunger development is pneumatically actuated. In addition, the part also detects both end positions with just a single sensor. This makes the GN 817.7 a logical advancement over the manually operated indexing plunger GN 817.6. The GN 817.7 can replace the GN 817.6 without changing dimensions or signal processing. The new plunger can also be used in hard-to-reach locations and integrates into automated processes.

Made from 316 stainless steel, the hinges can be used in environments subject to regular washdown with aggressive detergents. The design provides long-term resistance to corrosion, and rounded edges prevent accumulation of bacteria, enabling an easier and more effective wash-down.
