Workholding

ISCAR's new Penta 17 line now for Swiss and Miniature Machining

Iscar's latest addition in the PENTA series introduces a new 5-cornered insert for machining miniature parts. The unique shape and design of the insert rekindles this legacy insert by opening new frontiers for additional applications. Standard inserts now available in a wide range of widths from 0.010" – 0.125", with different edge configurations for parting, grooving, back-turning, side-turning, profiling and threading. The insert and toolholders enable the machining of miniature parts with right and left capabilities next to the shoulder of the workpiece.

Toggle Clamps

WDS Component Parts Ltd. has expanded its offering of toggle clamps, adding new sizes at both the small and large end of the range, plus filling in some intermediate gaps and introducing new design variants.

DX6 CrossOver Hydraulic Vise

The Kurt newly designed rotary table workholding system is designed using the Kurt DX6 CrossOver hydraulic vise with a trunnion mounted onto a 4-axis rotary table. The system uses double-acting hydraulics, which is desirable for automated part loading and unloading via a robotic system. Additionally, the system can be used for manual part loading and unloading.

Range of Knobs

WDS Component Parts Ltd. has expanded its range of detent pins by developing a range of knobs that aid handling, particularly in adverse conditions. Detent pins are one of the quickest and easiest ways to position and secure parts and basically consist of a shaft with a spring-loaded ball bearing at the leading end, which acts to hold the pin in position once it is in use. A sharp tug on the pin will release it when required.

Tradesman Bench Vise

Wilton has introduced a new version of its iconic Tradesman bench vise, which features a fully sealed, one-piece spindle nut assembly; redesigned spindle assembly with replaceable Tommy bar; precision machined slide; and machined steel serrated jaw inserts with black phosphate, anticorrosion coating.
