Aqueous Parts Cleaners

The application fields of part cleaning processes using aqueous media range from coarse through intermediate to fine and ultrafine cleaning. Before an investment in suitable cleaning equipment is made, key questions regarding cleaning quality, throughput, cycle times, process stability and cost efficiency must be answered. Ecoclean addresses these aspects via different machine concepts adapted to the respective industries and tasks.

DX4 CrossOver Vise

Kurt has launched the DX4 CrossOver Vise, a reduced size version of its successful DX6 CrossOver vise. Similarly designed to provide workholding strength and performance where flatness and parallelism are critical, this DX4 CrossOver vise answers machinists’ needs for smaller workholding.

FlexArm GH-18-1 Tapping Arm

FlexArm Inc. introduces a mobile tapping package which yields mobility, productivity and efficiency by allowing operators to tap holes offline while the machining center works on the next part. This comprehensive package includes the FlexArm GH-18-1 tapping arm with a tap capacity of #6 to 5/8”, a reach from 17”-72”, variable speed from 100-420 rpm, 360-degree movement, and a semiautomatic tap lubricator.

Turret-Adapted Clamping Units

As machine tools become increasingly complex and the need to produce parts in less time grows, CNC lathe owners and managers must look to the latest technologies if they’re to improve shop floor efficiency. Isn’t it ironic then that one of the most productive of these solutions is far from new—in fact, it’s been a champion in the war on machine tool downtime for nearly three decades. It’s called KMTM Quick Change Tooling, and whether it’s an old friend, a complete stranger, or an acquaintance you met briefly and discounted, it’s time to take a long hard look at what it can do for your bottom line.

Worldstar 1680 CNC Microfinishing System

A new design CNC microfinishing system by IMPCO Microfinishing polishes the critical cylindrical bearing journals of a range of different size crankshafts to micron tolerances consistently and automatically without the need to manually change and reposition the tooling, reducing changeover time from many hours to a few minutes. The company says its Worldstar 1680 is a fully flexible microfinishing system for the automotive industry and was built in response to the requirements of a European automaker for installation in Brazil.

A590 Machining Center

The A590 is a 23,000-lb. cylinder head porting and block machining center for big billet and diesel work. Whether you need to port long V12 or diesel cylinder heads, have a large production volume of heads to port, or have a specialty application requiring extreme angles, the CENTROID A590 is suitable.

VARIAXIS i-300 Simultaneous 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center

Mazak’s versatile VARIAXIS i-300 simultaneous 5-axis vertical machining center is now even more flexible and efficient with the addition of a high-capacity auto work changer (AWC). Designed for automated small- to medium-size part-processing operations, the new VARIAXIS i-300 AWC is suitable for machining aluminum and other nonferrous metals for a variety of industries, including aerospace, medical and automotive.
