Diaphragm Chuck for a Wire EDM

Northfield Precision Instrument Corp. reported that when a customer requiring a highly specialized diaphragm chuck was not finding success with other chuck manufacturers, they turned to Northfield Precision Instrument. The chuck needed to be submersible for use in a wire EDM. To achieve this, the engineers at Northfield designed a specialized chuck with all non-stainless steel wetted parts.

Collet Pad Jaws

Collet pad top jaw systems from Dillon Manufacturing Inc. can convert through-hole chucks to hold small bar and tube stock. Collet pads can be changed quickly maximizing production time, and the jaws can be adapted to many styles of chucks, making them ideal for special purpose function machining.
