Weiler Abrasives Group appoints abrasive specialists

David JescovitchCRESCO, Pa. — December 6, 2018 — Weiler Abrasives, a provider of abrasives, power brushes and maintenance products for surface conditioning, announced two new positions within the company to serve key metal fabrication industries. David Jescovitch has taken on the role of abrasive specialist manager and Ron McCarthy is now an abrasive specialist.

Jescovitch has worked with Weiler Abrasives for over 34 years in various roles, most recently serving as senior district sales manager. Now Jescovitch will manage a team focusing on customers in the metal fabrication market. The team will concentrate on pipeline construction, shipbuilding and large metal fabricators. Jescovitch and his team will work with customers to understand their challenges, and to offer value-added services and solutions from the Weiler Abrasives portfolio to improve safety, productivity and cost savings. While leading the team, he will collaborate with the company’s sales teams to support customers.

In his new role as abrasive specialist, McCarthy will support Jescovitch and other team members in their efforts to bring abrasive solutions to the market and grow Weiler Abrasives’ presence. He will work directly with customers to help define productivity and quality standards and select the best product to address their challenges. As an abrasive specialist, McCarthy’s focus will be on helping find faster, safer and more cost-effective abrasive solutions for metal fabricators. McCarthy was formerly a Weiler district sales manager for over 10 years.
