2mm x 60° and 2.5mm x 60° Serrations for Hard-to-Find Top Jaws

A major manufacturing facilities upgrade enables Dillon Chuck Jaws to add the manufacturing of 2mm x 60° and 2.5mm x 60° serrations for hard-to-find top jaws, hard jaws and full-grip jaws that fit the corresponding chuck master jaws of the same hard to locate pitch. They now have the capability to manufacture virtually any serration, including 1.5mm x60°, 2mm x 60°, 2.5mm x60°, 3mm x 60°, 1/16th x 90° and 3/32 x 90°.

Phillips Precision’s Products Division announces its new 3-Legged Spider-Clamp as part of the Inspection Arsenal LEAN, Quick-Swap inspection fixture system. Not only does Phillips Precision offer the only quick-swap standard fixture systems, but they provide quick, creative fixture design and quick shipping of your orders. Inspection Arsenal tooling will help optimize your inspection process and uncover hidden profits.

HPC Precision Clamping Chucks

Guhring’s HPC precision clamping chucks offer extremely high clamping forces while maintaining extremely tight concentricity tolerances, making it an ideal solution for milling operations, as well as drilling and reaming applications. It excels in both heavy-duty and high-speed machining applications.

G220 Turn-Mill Center

The INDEX G220 turn-mill center includes a motorized 5-axis 18,000-rpm milling spindle and a tool turret with a Y-axis, providing maximum machining flexibility for producing complex parts in a single setup from bar stock up to 90 mm in diameter or via a maximum chuck diameter of 210 mm. The distance between spindles is 1,280 mm, and the maximum turning length is 1,000 mm. The high-accuracy, done-in-one capabilities of the machine benefit users in the precision parts industries, including automotive, aerospace and mechanical engineering.

Fast-Trac Jaw Nuts

Dillon Fast-Trac Jaw Nuts convert standard chucks into quick-change chucks, reducing jaw change time by 50 percent or more. This proven system allows users to preassemble the next operation jaws while the machine is running a separate job, thus minimizing jaw change time and maximizing productivity and profitability.

Cutting Tools and Chucks Optimized for Machining Connecting Rods

Connecting rods are highly stressed engine parts. To take account of downsizing and the reduction of CO2 emissions, connecting rods are also becoming increasingly lighter. This is achieved on the one hand through the use of high-strength and innovative materials, and on the other hand through modern production processes. This also changes the shape of the connecting rods and the variety of shapes increases. MAPAL offers the complete process for machining different types of connecting rods – whether on the transfer line or the machining center, as well as for wet or MQL machining.
