The new AM Type insert is designed for non-ferrous metal machining, featuring a sharp cutting edge achieved through ground peripheral surface and polished rake face to a mirror-like finish. This design reduces built-up edge during machining and ensures a high-quality, glossy surface finish. The insert grade "KS05F" is a fine-grained carbide that balances wear resistance and chipping resistance, providing exceptional reliability and stable performance across a wide range of applications.

The compact system footprint is 2.1m x 4.8m, and all components are on one skid for easier transport and a faster, streamlined installation. The insert grade is High-content CBN "BX480," which consists of densely bonded medium-grain CBN. This grade offers high hardness, toughness, and superior thermal conductivity, making it suitable for high-speed machining at cutting speeds (Vc) exceeding 1000m/min.

Norton NORaX N889 belts feature an engineered, high-performance micron-grade aluminum oxide grain structured in a fine 3D pyramid pattern which is especially well suited for lower pressure (0-8 PSI) applications where belt flexibility is needed. The engineered abrasive slowly erodes during grinding, exposing new, sharp abrasive grains resulting in 2-5X longer belt life than conventional polishing belts, as well as higher quality finishes, faster cutting rates and an ability to reduce finishing/ polishing steps.

Equipped with high-resolution cameras and custom lenses, the VisionLab-X-300 handles parts up to 12 inches (300mm) in length and 2 inches (50mm) in diameter, offering precise measurements for complex features (achieving part measurements within two microns). The body of the hex head style (CTH) is made from a Grade 8 fastener (metric 10.9) steel with a black oxide finish. The round head type (AG) is made from heat-treated alloy steel with black oxide finish. The tool steel threaded style (HS) is made from M-2 high speed steel and hardened to Rc 55/58 with black oxide finish. The carbide-tipped threaded style (PG) is made from heat-treated alloy steel with black oxide finish.
