The CoroMill MH20 complements existing products in the CoroMill range, and fills a strategic gap in the high feed indexable milling product line. Designed to deliver reliability with minimal vibration, the CoroMill MH20 has been adapted for applications where components are notoriously difficult to machine, such as in the oil and gas, mold and die and aerospace sectors.

Not only does this solution make it easier to machine sticky materials, but it is designed for easy, ergonomic indexing and the pocket and screw designs simplify positioning. The cutters themselves feature a new environmentally friendly coating and their outstanding high feed milling performance reduces the amount of power used in roughing. Yet another step in the right direction for Seco Tools to continue their journey to create more environmentally sustainable manufacturing and machining solutions.

The NXT grinder is a versatile 5-axis CNC machine with a small footprint, large grind zone and a modular design that quickly adapts to demanding application requirements. ESPRIT uses a digital twin of the manufacturing envelope to simplify the programming process and deliver edit-free G-code. Customers that already have ESPRIT can add the Star Cutter NXT’s digital machine package to their existing license and program the NXT using the software they already own.

The GrindSmart 660XW is a 6-axis tool and peel grinding machine allows the user to utilize cost-effective and advanced  lean manufacturing principles; termed as “Ultra-Lean Grinding Process.” The machine includes a 6•position wheel changer and linear motors on all axes. It features a traveling high-speed workhead. Peel grinding for blank prepara•on and neck grinding are included in the same chucking.

Rectangular enclosures with EMC shielding to protect the sensitive signals from external electromagnetic signals also seal stronger signals from leaking to the outside and interfering with surrounding electronics. According to the transfer impedance measurement test by CESI EMC Laboratory based on German Military standards VG 95214-10 and VG 95214-11, Mencom’s EMC series enclosures with dedicated electromagnetic shields provide additional improvements with better shielding attenuation than their standard metal enclosures that already provide a decent level of shielding attenuation.

The 465 (464) fine boring heads have a full diameter range of 1.968” – 8.070” (50mm – 205mm) with the lightweight aluminum Alu-Line boring heads ranging from 2.559” – 8.070” (65.00mm – 205.00mm). Integrated directly into the HMI, ModuleWorks machine simulation enhances the Mitsubishi controls with high-performance multi-axis milling and turning simulation including gouge and deviation analysis and collision detection with manual or automatic refinement of the simulation result. Workpiece coloring according to the sequence provides convenient visual analysis and enables operators to immediately identify and prevent potential collisions for safe and cost-effective machining.

Manufacturing high quality, high performance tools requires the Total Indicator Runout to be perfect or minimal for overall tool life and surface finish. Runout on blanks before grinding can be achieved by either spending a certain amount of time for work holding setup or alternatively, compensating the runout in software. The latest software update of ToolRoom has an option to apply complete tool runout compensation when needed.

The OpenVINO toolkit plugin from MVTec is based on the new HALCON AI Accelerator Interface (AI²). This generic interface allows customers to use supported AI accelerator hardware for the inference part of their deep learning applications – quickly and conveniently. Such special devices are widely used especially for applications in the embedded environment, but also exist more and more in the PC environment. By abstracting the deep learning models from specific hardware, the AI Accelerator Interface is particularly future-proof. In addition to plugins provided by MVTec, the integration of customer-specific AI accelerator hardware is also possible.

Compact in size and completely modular, this versatile and simple clamping system allows easy height adjustment by stacking the modules. The pins or screws can be easily attached to the underside of a plate or a workpiece for a standardized locating.

ENMX09 double-sided inserts are designed to take on tough applications with absolute authority. Optimized for larger diameter cutters and larger depth of cuts, YG-1’s 09 inserts are designed 20-25% thicker than other, more conventional products on the market. Added thickness and a wide flank face work to achieve stronger and more stable clamping, more secure machining and longer tool life, especially in difficult-to-machine materials.

WCH10C inserts deliver high repeat accuracy due to its sintering process and are tough and wear resistant due to the strong connection to their titanium carbide substrate. Optimum surface quality is promoted as well by their uniform grain distribution in the substrate, The new Walter coated mixed ceramic grade WCH10C inserts can be used effectively on materials ranging in hardness from 45 up to 60 HRC. The inserts can be a cost-effective alternative to CBN cutting tool materials.

The lanyard attachment is bolted to the installation, preventing loss of the adjoining hand knob when the knob is unscrewed by suspending or retaining it within easy reach. The secure lanyard attachment also protects machinery from damage during maintenance by preventing the hand knob from falling into moving or sensitive machine parts. Permanently retaining the hand knob ensures that machinery panels can remain secure at all times, enhancing operator safety and protection of the machine. Lanyard attachment also means faster, safer maintenance.

The rotary tables use low-cogging frameless and slotless torque motors to enable this excellent geometric performance. Different designs allow use in horizontal, vertical or any orientation. Air bearings guarantee a virtually unlimited service life with no wear, and zero required maintenance. As with all other PI linear air bearings and stages, the rotary tables are clean room compatible and requires no lubrication. For transmissive light applications, the A-688 direct drive rotary table with large aperture is available.

Besides the high capacity and effective washing mechanism, the EcoCcompact’s energy-optimized system technology makes the machine even more economically efficient. For example, the second and third flood tanks are warmed by heat recovered from the distillation process. Among other things, this has led to a significant reduction in energy consumption. Thanks to the efficient distillation process, the machine also has impressively low solvent requirements. This has been attained by installing the distillation unit in a vertical position, which requires hardly any mounting fixtures.

The insert pocket is designed with dovetailed seating over a large contact area, which extends cutting edge life, cutter body life cycle, stability, and support under the most aggressive cutting conditions. Inserts are offered in 2 styles: economical pressed complete and a precision ground profile.

The dual-purpose m&h R-400 probe system is the first tactile probe on the market that includes a built-in display. It provides status data at a glance, enables users to save or load settings, and makes it easy to switch between tactile-sensor and tool-setting functions. Designed for shop-floor flexibility, the system can be used as a radio probe by equipping it with a probe shank or as a radio tool setter by mounting it on a tool-setter base. In addition to offering flexible in-machine measurement functions, the probe can help cut costs by eliminating storage of replacement sensors, as only one device needs to be stored.

Available in two versions – Premium and Premium Automation (PA) – JOC works in conjunction with JETCAM Expert nesting software to streamline and automate the CAD import and nesting process. When ordering components customers can now specify a desired sheet size and material stock item on a per-component basis, which will override default settings. This gives customers feeding orders from MRP a greater level of control.

Glovius supports all popular CAD formats including CATIA, NX, Creo and Pro/ENGINEER, SOLIDWORKS, SolidEdge, Autodesk Inventor, and STEP, IGES, and JT.  Glovius enables users to measure, section, analyze, compare, and export 3D CAD data to STEP, IGES, and other formats. The new rendering engine in Glovius 6.0 significantly improves file open and rendering performance, resulting in improved visualization and responsiveness. The latest release improves picking and rendering of measurements, allowing users to measure STL, CGR, and other graphics file formats. Additionally, Glovius 6.0 features an improved export option with WYSIWYG enhancements, allowing users to export files as image snapshots, PowerPoint, 3DHTML, 3DPDF, and Bill of Materials (BoM) for easy sharing and collaboration. Users can also now protect IP and product design data by selectively exporting components in an assembly.
