A new standard line of machinable shaft-end adapters that are offered with a plain bore or keyway and a variety of options is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp.

SICK announces the launch of the deTec4 safety light curtain. The deTec4 is a new generation of safety light curtains. With protective heights of 300 millimeters to 2,100 millimeters and an IP65, IP67 and IP69K enclosure rating, the deTec4 is proven for use in harsh environments.

Thomson Industries Inc. has launched an upgraded RediMount option, a pre-engineered, modular adapter kit for seamlessly installing motors or gears in less than 5 minutes. The improved option is now the default for Thomson linear motion systems and precision linear actuators, and its capabilities are factored into optimal sizing recommendations generated through the company’s Linear MOTIONEERING product sizing and selection tool.

ANCA second-generation PremierPlus technology ensures consistent and efficient tool runout. With three times greater clamping force, tools are held more securely when grinding, increasing the consistency of tool geometry across a batch of tools. As the clamping force is increased it means more force is required to open the collet. This is enabled by a hydraulic pressure intensifier unit at the rear of the PremierPlus Adaptor used for this purpose.

The L.S. Starrett Co. has introduced its DFC and DFG series of digital handheld force gages. Depending on the series, advanced automatic testing can be attained with the DFC force gage controlling a Starrett FMM digital force tester, or basic testing can be performed using the DFG gage.
