Sound Hoods

Sound hoods for automated deburring and finishing equipment, to help industrial companies provide a safer, more comfortable environment for workers while achieving noise levels that meet regulatory agency requirements, are now available as standard and custom units from ALMCO Inc.

Designed for spindle finishers and continuous through-feed vibratory systems, including both new and existing machines, the hoods keep noise under 85 dbA. Actual level depends on part size, finishing media and other conditions.

Made of sheet metal, the ALMCO hoods are lined with open-cell urethane sound deadening material, which also is installed on undersides of covers of other types of finishing machines from the manufacturer. The hoods are light in weight for easy installation or removal while ruggedly constructed for long life.
