MXDSR (Micro Xtreme Drill Solid Regular) 5X Drills

With the success of the Twister XD series of high-performance drills, M.A. Ford is expanding the offering to include micro sizes down to 0.50mm in diameter. The MXDSR (Micro Xtreme Drill Solid Regular) 5X drills are designed for high-performance microdrilling in a broad range of materials.

A web-thinned point helps to reduce cutting forces during the drilling operation. Coated with M.A. Ford's ALtima coating, the drill can be ran at higher speeds and feeds and the post coat polishing improves chip evacuation. Diameters larger than 0.80mm have honed cutting edges on the point which increases the strength of the cutting edge.

The offering ranges in size from 0.50mm to 2.95mm, all with a 3mm shank, 57mm overall length, a 135 to 140 degree point angle and a helix angle of 30 degrees.
