Blasomill Uni 10 Metalworking Fluid

March 13, 2013

Blaser Swisslube Inc. announced the release of Blasomill Uni 10, Art. 3174. The Blasomill portfolio of neat oils exhibits high cutting performance and excellent lubricity over a range of materials. The Blasomill Uni series of oils provide high cutting performance and lubricating properties in metal-removal operations with medium to high cutting speeds (240 to 600 ft./min.). The high quality raw materials utilized in formulating Blasomill provides a high level of environmental health and safety, with low misting/vapor properties as well as moderate to high flashpoints, thus reducing the risk of auto ignition and smoke formation.

Blasomill Uni 10 is low viscosity, Swiss-style oil formulated with the latest in state-of-the- art metalworking fluid components. Chlorinated Paraffin is utilized as an extreme pressure (EP) additive package in Blasomill Uni 10, which reportedly delivers excellent cutting performance in medium- to heavy-duty machining applications, over a wide range of materials. Blasomill Uni 10 provides excellent foam control in high pressure oil systems, and has been optimized for Swiss-style CNC lathes and gundrilling operations, according to the company.

    computer numerical control ( CNC)

Microprocessor-based controller dedicated to a machine tool that permits the creation or modification of parts. Programmed numerical control activates the machine’s servos and spindle drives and controls the various machining operations. See DNC, direct numerical control; NC, numerical control.

  • gundrilling

    gundrilling

Drilling process using a self-guiding tool to produce deep, precise holes. High-pressure coolant is fed to the cutting area, usually through the gundrill’s shank.

  • lubricity

    lubricity

Measure of the relative efficiency with which a cutting fluid or lubricant reduces friction between surfaces.

  • metalworking

    metalworking

Any manufacturing process in which metal is processed or machined such that the workpiece is given a new shape. Broadly defined, the term includes processes such as design and layout, heat-treating, material handling and inspection.
