Cermet WEP10C Turning Insert

These indexable turning inserts are designed for applications where a soft cut and high precision is required.  Long tool life is achieved through the WEP10C coated cermet grade with multilayer PVD TiCN TiAlN coating and extra fine cermet substrate grain. Walter's combination of edge preparation and grade also ensures dimensional stability. Primary applications include energy, automotive, and general metalworking.

Sanicro 625 Bar

The bar material, which has an ASTM classification of Grade 1, is provided in the soft annealed and quenched condition in 3 to 7-meter lengths (9.84 feet – 22.96 feet) with an outer diameter of 3 to 9 inches (76.2 to 228.6 mm). OD tolerances are +/-0.8, according to ASTM B637.

348 Inserts

348 inserts added to stainless steel turning grade series of AH6225, AH6235, and T6215. AH6225 is a first-choice grade designed to provide excellent machining performance in general stainless steel turning operations, extending from continuous to light interrupted cuts. AH6235 is another PVD-coated grade that boasts exceptional fracture resistance. T6215 is a latest CVD-coated grade, designed to ensure superior cutting performance during high speed, continuous cuts of stainless steel.

Mastercam 2023 Public Beta

Morph, Parallel, Along Curve, and Project Curve are no longer individual toolpaths in Mastercam 2023. Instead, the Unified toolpath allows access to these cut patterns when you add the appropriate curves. For example, to create a toolpath that morphs between two surfaces, select Unified from the Multiaxis toolpaths, and then set the Cut Pattern to two surfaces with the Morph style.

Standard Live Tools in Stock

According to Preben Hansen, president of Platinum Tooling Technologies, Inc., “We are now carrying a substantial inventory of live tools for our customers’ machines.  It represents a significant financial and warehouse space commitment that we have made to support the North American machine tool market.”

CTCP115-P (ISO P15), CTCP125-P (ISO P25), CTC135-P (ISO P35) Insert Grades

To prevent insert waste and easily detect wear, the gold-colored TiN outer layer of the Dragonskin multilayer CVD Ti(C,N)/Al2O3/TiN coating acts as an indicator. It not only enables users to clearly identify insert wear and index before a breakage, but also prevents sharp cutting edges from going unused and the insert being inadvertently discarded. Plus, a mechanical post-coating treatment produces beneficial residual stress in the coating that results in increased process security, especially important in the large-volume production situations typically associated with turning ISO-P steels.
