Fastems, one of the world’s leaders in manufacturing automation equipment and software, has developed a new load handler that can both load machine tools directly and act as an automatic pallet changer. The load handler is the device on the FMS stacker crane that moves pallets between storage, machines, and the loading/material stations in a Fastems FMS.

Heavy Duty Threaded Line Vac conveyors eject a small amount of compressed air through directed nozzles to produce a vacuum on one end with high output flows on the other. Response is instantaneous. The conveying rate is easily controlled using a pressure regulator on the compressed air supply. 

The small and compact image-based code reader measures just 30mm x 40mm x 50mm and supplements SICK’s Lector series of code readers for detecting 1D, 2D, and stacked codes. It can be used primarily for the intralogistics, automotive, consumer goods, and electronics and solar markets. 

Stainless steel assembly pins from the GN 2342 series are available in all common diameters from 8 to 20 millimeters and in various standardized lengths. Three different end washer forms and the selection by means of a specific code number between assembly pin with and without transverse spring cotter pin holes diversify the series even further.

The standard parts specialist JW Winco introduces the new Lift and Turn Compression Latch for holding doors, covers and hatches closed. It is operated in two steps with an ergonomic, powder-coated T-handle in black or gray. When folding the T-handle in or out, a stroke of 5 mm is initiated on the rotating latch to generate the required pressure against a door seal. In the folded-out position, the T-handle can be turned to the left or right side, moving the rotating latch 90° behind the cover or door, allowing it to be opened. The rotating latch can be flexibly adjusted for frames between 13 and 75 mm thick, depending on the application. The two-stage movement secures the closure against vibration.
