Iscar continues to provide high performance drilling solutions with the IHP drill head geometry and edge prep are optimized for drilling Non-Alloy / Carbon Steel. The design’s strengthened cutting edge not only extends tool life but works well in non-rigid applications where other geometries may not be as suitable. The drill heads are available in IC948 TiAlCrN PVD grade coating in the following size range 394” to .866” in .004” increments. The IC948 coating applied on a hard cemented carbide sub-micron substrate offers high oxidation and chipping resistance due to the special multi-layer structure of the coating.
