The new Neutral AJ Type inserts for non-ferrous metals join this lineup. Like their right-hand counterparts, these new inserts feature ground peripheral surface and polished rake face with a mirror-like finish for sharp cutting edges. This prevents the built-up edges to the cutting edge during machining, and achieving a high-quality, glossy finish. The large rake angle and deep inclination ensure excellent chip control with both right-hand and left-hand cutter bodies.

All presetter models feature interchangeable spindles (CAT, BT, HSK, Polygonal Taper, etc.) thereby eliminating the need for adapters which introduce additional error. All units also come with fifty of the most common post processors for today’s CNC controls. Norton NORaX N889 belts feature an engineered, high-performance micron-grade aluminum oxide grain structured in a fine 3D pyramid pattern which is especially well suited for lower pressure (0-8 PSI) applications where belt flexibility is needed. The engineered abrasive slowly erodes during grinding, exposing new, sharp abrasive grains resulting in 2-5X longer belt life than conventional polishing belts, as well as higher quality finishes, faster cutting rates and an ability to reduce finishing/ polishing steps.

The body of the hex head style (CTH) is made from a Grade 8 fastener (metric 10.9) steel with a black oxide finish. The round head type (AG) is made from heat-treated alloy steel with black oxide finish. The tool steel threaded style (HS) is made from M-2 high speed steel and hardened to Rc 55/58 with black oxide finish. The carbide-tipped threaded style (PG) is made from heat-treated alloy steel with black oxide finish.

The Paradur® Ti Plus taps are for threading blind holes with a geometry specially developed for machining titanium alloys with a tensile strength of at least 700 N/mm2 using emulsion instead of oil. The Prototex® TiNi Plus tap is effective for through-hole threading. Walter specially developed the geometry to thread titanium and nickel-based super alloys (ISO S material group) with a tensile strength of 700 N/mm2 or higher using emulsion.
