A full line of CO2 laser mirrors that are made from molybdenum and ideally suited for low- and high-power lasers used in harsh industrial environments are available from Laser Research Optics.
LRO Molybdenum Mirrors are made from this intrinsically hard material that does not require coatings to achieve greater than 98.1 percent average reflectance at 10.6µm at 45 degrees AOI, with less than 1.9 percent absorption and scatter. Designed for use in dirty industrial environments, molybdenum mirrors have no coatings which can degrade and are suitable for low- and high-power lasers.
Manufactured from pure vacuum ARC cast low carbon molybdenum, LRO Molybdenum Mirrors are offered in ¼" to 1" dia. sizes for low power lasers and 1" to 3" dia. sizes for high power lasers, with thicknesses from 3mm to 10mm. Suitable for lasers from 20 watts to kilowatts in power, applications include laser engraving, marking, cutting, hole drilling, and welding.
