A unique gearless drive is key to making it happen, not only getting each spindle as close as possible, but ensuring rigid performance to avoid backlash. The result is high-quality threads with no lag or out of tolerance thread forms due to gear train play that can occur using a geared head.

The Shop Tap pneumatic machine is a medium duty general purpose tapping machine. It provides variable mounting capabilities and has two different motor choices and a working area reach of 62 inches. It features a stationary bench, quick change tooling adapter and a vertical motor bracket.

This unique powerhouse has a standard two-station APC with full 4-axis capabilities for drilling, milling, boring, tapping, threading and much more. A standard high-speed 15,000-rpm, dual-contact spindle is ideal for tougher cuts with a 30,000-rpm option for more highly intricate part processing.
