Tapping
See Tapmatic’s DeBurr-Z Floating Holder for CNC Deburring
Eliminate tedious hand work and deburr the work piece on your CNC machine for more consistent and controlled results. The DeBurr-Z floats in both the compression and extension direction allowing the cutting tool to follow the top edges or underside edges of the work piece even when these are not clearly defined. This makes programming easy. The force is equally and simultaneously adjustable for compression and extension. Spherical and angular burs are available depending on your application. The DeBurr-Z may also be used for engraving.
Taps vs Thread Mills
Thread mills present several advantages over traditional taps in manufacturing. They offer greater versatility, allowing for deeper threading into holes and reducing the risk of tool breakage. Proper feed rates are crucial for optimal performance, and using a code generator can enhance efficiency. Overall, thread mills serve as a more effective and cost-efficient solution for various threading applications.
Switch between vertical and horizontal tapping with new Flex arm
With barely a touch, the multi-axis FlexArm REM-24D electronic tapping arm with a multi-position head moved gracefully around the part, making it easy to tap a part where needed and helping to eliminate operator fatigue and reduce the possibility of repetitive motion injuries.
