HALCON 22.05

By detecting logical anomalies in images, HALCON 22.05 opens up completely new application areas and represents a further development of the deep learning technology of anomaly detection. Until now, it has only been possible to detect structural anomalies strictly on a local level. The new Global Context Anomaly Detection feature is currently the only technology that can “understand” the logical content of the entire image.

PlantMonitor

By connecting multiple StateMonitors within the new PlantMonitor software umbrella, a company’s entire production environment will become transparent to users, enabling them to react appropriately to problems and changes.  This also contributes to enabling users to achieve long-term process optimization.

Machine Monitoring

Done in real time and remotely, Seco Machine Monitoring solutions sample production data on a continuous basis to build a full picture of what happens on a manufacturer's shop floor and beyond. These insights build an in-depth profile of daily activity and trigger alerts for onsite response or remote notification of production- critical metrics.

UP Squared Pro AI Vision Development Kit

The bundle combines the innovative technologies of three partners: AAEON provides the UP Squared Pro system with AI Core XM, an AI acceleration module including two times an Intel® Movidius™ Myriad™ X VPU, Basler supplies the plug-and-play USB 3.0 area scan camera pulse including matching accessories, and MVTec contributes the easy-to-use MERLIC 5 machine vision software with deep learning technologies such as anomaly detection and classification. To maximize the use of the classification technology, users of the bundle can access MVTec's Deep Learning Tool software for easy data labeling.

MERLIC 5.1 Software

MERLIC 5.1 includes a new tool for optical character recognition that is based on HALCON’s Deep OCR technology. Compared to other algorithms, this holistic deep-learning-based approach can localize characters much more robustly, regardless of their orientation, font type, polarity, and it requires significantly less parameter tuning. Recognition performance is further increased by the automatic grouping of characters. This allows the identification of whole words and thus reduces the chance of misinterpretation of similar-looking characters. This new tool does not require the Deep Learning Add-On and is therefore already included in the entry level package MERLIC 5.1 S.

ZOLLER Interface in CAMWorks

With the ZOLLER Interface in CAMWorks, tool data is standardized and the exchange of data between the two software systems is automated. Customers only need to enter the information for their cutting tools in once into the central ZOLLER tool database and the tools are imported automatically into CAMWorks. All of the tool parameters are captured, including contour line for holder and cutter, specific tool type, and technology data, such as feeds and speeds. The interface also allows users to define tools in the ZOLLER TMS Tool Management Solutions software with the same tool types and parameters that are being used in CAMWorks.
