Sandvik Hyperion's carbide grade AM70 is an advanced substrate developed to increase machining productivity and performance in titanium and ISO M materials. The AM70 grade is comprised of a combination of submicron carbide grains that provide the perfect mix of toughness and wear resistance.

Doosan Machine Tools America introduced a series of large capacity, ram-type vertical turning centers. The series is comprised of the PUMA VTR1216 and the PUMA VTR1216M, which is equipped with an additional spindle for milling, providing convenient, efficient mill-turn capabilities on one machine tool platform.

Walter says it has unveiled a technology that promises to dramatically improve machining effectiveness. Called Tiger·tec Gold, it is the latest iteration of Walter’s successful line of Tiger·tec and Tiger·tec Silver coatings.

Walter has introduced its new Prototyp Advance line of solid-carbide milling tools for universal application. BIG KAISER Precision Tooling Inc. says the C-Cutter Mini enables milling at an ultrahigh feed rate. It offers a small cutting diameter and features a compact design that accepts four inserts, including ones as small as 0.197".

F. Zimmermann GmbH has extended the working area of its proven FZ33 compact portal milling machine. The Y-axis now travels up to 4,000 mm and the Z-axis up to 1,500 mm.

Walter Surface Technologies continues to enhance manufacturing and machining productivity with the release of its new Coolcut S-50 soluble cutting fluid. Relying on Coolcut S-50 will help heavy machining and manufacturing cut down on production time, which in turn helps them reduce costs and downtime, according to the company.
