Measuring & Inspection Systems

SCT Current Converters

With the new SCT current converters, Beckhoff Automation completes the power measurement chain that now ranges from measuring physical values to transmitting captured data to the cloud. Continuous, system-integrated power measurement allows users to perform extensive inline analyses, for example, to detect and correct deviations quickly in order to minimize downtime.

Flexible Force Testing Systems Design

The L.S. Starrett Co. has introduced a flexible selection architecture that enables the range of Starrett force and material testing software programs to be compatible with its different test frame series. This interchangeable system architecture increases application versatility, providing users a wider range of solution options from basic to advanced, for their specific force and material testing needs.

ALTERAC Coordinate Measuring Machines

A range of coordinate measuring machines has been introduced by British manufacturer LK Metrology that offer high accuracy and repeatability in a compact footprint. Manufactured at the company's factory near Derby, the new ALTERAC machines are available in three sizes - 7.7.5, 10.7.5, and 10.7.7 - their respective X-, Y- and Z-axis movements being 700 x 650 x 500 mm, 1,000 x 650 x 500 mm and 1,000 x 650 x 650 mm.

HandySCAN Aeropack 3D Scanning Suite

Creaform announced the release of HandySCAN Aeropack, a 3D scanning solution suite that addresses the specific challenges of aircraft quality control, such as assessing damage from hailstorms or aircraft incidents, as well as flap and spoiler inspections. The HandySCAN Aeropack can also be used for reverse engineering, maintenance and repair operations, and designing hard-to-acquire spare parts.

MiSCAN Vision System

Mitutoyo America Corp. announces the release of the MiSCAN Vision System. MiSCAN is a multiple-sensor microscopic-form measurement system using combined coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and vision measurement system technology and features a microform scanning probe.

M62 Scan Universal Gear Inspection System

Marposs has announced its M62 Scan, a universal gear inspection system that performs a quick and efficient inspection of cylindrical gear tooth profiles in a production environment. The M62 Scan helps to relieve the workload of gear lab machines by enabling an interim check directly on the shop floor. The compact robust system can reach speeds of up to 50 mm/sec., helping to improve production processes.

Digital Rockwell/Superficial Rockwell Benchtop Hardness Testers

The L.S. Starrett Co. has introduced two new digital Rockwell/superficial Rockwell benchtop hardness testers (Nos. 3823 and 3824) with fully automated load/unload procedures and capable of providing highly accurate readings. The new Starrett models utilize a closed-loop control unit with a load cell, a DC motor and an electronic measurement and control unit instead of traditional dead weights, enabling high accuracy measurements at all test loads up to 0.5%.

Gaging Systems

Kurt gaging systems can provide 100% production inspection with fast cycle time and are critical to manufacturers of machined components. The gaging system is fully automated and capable of measuring a series of features for two machining operations.
