United Grinding North America Inc. will highlight methods for improving tool performance using the latest advancements in grinding at a Tool Event on July 22-23 at the company's facility in Fredericksburg, Va. Attendees will also get a preview of a new two-in-one machine with a minimal footprint that provides eroding and grinding of PCD and carbide tools in one setup, according to the company.

During the 2-day event, representatives from the company will conduct 12 knowledge sessions. Organized into three different learning tracks, attendees can register for the sessions that focus on the topics of their choice.

Track 1 concentrates on conventional tool grinding. It includes sessions on how to optimize machine results and a presentation of the facts on flute positioning in grinding wheels. Track 2 presents attendees with opportunities to attend sessions on superhard materials. Track 3 focuses on peripheral components that enhance quality.

"This event is an opportunity for manufacturers to quickly and easily get information about various types of new technology and techniques that will help them improve productivity and surface quality," said Markus Stolmar, vice president of tool and measurement sales for United Grinding North America.

An optional, casual-attire evening event on July 22 and 23 is also available for attendees. Transportation to and from the hotel will be provided. Registration for the Tool Event can be found at www.grinding.com/toolevent.
