Weiler Abrasives GroupCRESCO, Pa. — July 17, 2018 — Weiler Abrasives Group, a provider of abrasives, power brushes and maintenance products for surface conditioning, will expand operations at its Cresco facility as a result of investments in lean manufacturing and factory automation that opened space and capacity at the location.

The move allows Weiler to consolidate its power brush manufacturing operations. Due to this consolidation, Weiler will close its manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China, and transition production to the Cresco location over the coming months.

“We are confident this will be entirely seamless to our customers. We are excited about the benefits the move will bring to our local community and our North American customers, including improved service levels that our customers have come to expect from Weiler,” said Bill Dwyre, managing director, Americas, Weiler Abrasives Group. “These investments are designed to further position Weiler for growth and reinforce our continued commitment to U.S. manufacturing.”
