Applications are now being accepted for a machine tool training program at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Elizabethton this fall.

On June 15, 2015, Gov. Bill Haslam presented TCAT Elizabethton with a $650,000 grant to add machine tools and an additional welding training program to meet local and regional employment needs. The additional welding class began in February 2016.

The machine tool program will provide basic skills in machine tool operations and experience on a variety of machine tools, such as lathes, mills, CNC machines, and CAD/CAM design software.
