Superior Abrasives announces personnel appointments

Superior Abrasives LLC enhanced its customer reach and support programs with new appointments in sales and service-related positions. In doing so, national sales management has been divided into Eastern and Western regions, improving accessibility and partnership management.

Tom Licata is Western national sales manager for Superior Abrasives.

Tom Licata, formerly national and key accounts manager, was named Western national sales manager where he will manage Central and Western regions, including Missouri and Southern Illinois, while also focusing on National-Based partnerships. Within the Western national territory are Central Regional Manager Michael Wyatt and West Regional Manager Edison Oliveros, both with several years’ experience in industrial distribution and abrasives-specific sales management. Michael and Edison share their focus directly with distributor-partners and industrial manufacturer representatives.

Richard Pepera is Eastern national sales manager for Superior Abrasives.

Richard Pepera accepts the Eastern national sales manager position with both regional and direct territory representatives east of the Mississippi. Included in the Eastern national territory are Scott Hopkins, regional sales manager, Chad Schmelzer, Ohio and West Virginia, and Greg Kimpton, Michigan.

Transitioning from his role as regional sales manager, Patrick Mathes has accepted the program manager position and will focus on client partnerships, e-commerce and customized buying programs for national partners. He utilizes over 30 years of sales and marketing experience to align and establish continued growth plans.

Yaunce Long has been appointed to applications engineer, focusing on support and on-site evaluation of consumer process improvements, applications training, R&D and quality assessment.
