OMAX names distribution partners for fabricators

OMAX Corp., which offers advanced abrasive waterjet technology, this month signed exclusive distribution agreements with Mid Atlantic Machinery and Southern States Machinery to market, sell and support premium OMAX JetMachining Centers and MAXIEM JetMachining Centers to fabricators in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern states.

Described as top-tier distributors, Mid Atlantic Machinery and Southern States Machinery reportedly "offer everything fabricators need to gain a competitive advantage in today’s challenging global marketplace using OMAX’s abrasive waterjet technology," according to an OMAX news release issued Jan. 5. Specifically, the distributors will offer a broad range of table sizes, pumps, accessories and software, as well as top-notch engineering expertise, applications support, spare parts services and training for all OMAX and MAXIEM JetMachining Centers.

"We take great care in selecting distribution partners that have proven success in both selling machine tools and supporting customers after the sale," said Mike Ruppenthal, vice president of North American sales. “Mid Atlantic Machinery and Southern States Machinery are well established, highly respected distributors, and we are confident they will far exceed our customers’ expectations with their problem-solving expertise and complete turnkey systems."

With its main office in Harrisburg, Penn., Mid Atlantic Machinery is said to be a premier machine tool distributor of superior technologically advanced machines for fabricators on the East Coast. The company serves customers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, southern New Jersey, and parts of Virginia.

Southern States Machinery, headquartered in Greensboro, N.C., serves fabricators in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
