Presetters

At Lyndex-Nikken, the team demonstrates the E346BA tool presetter—a mid-entry, granite-base tabletop model designed to improve shop efficiency by measuring tools offline and maximizing spindle uptime. With a 360mm diameter by 460mm height range, this presetter features a high-resolution camera with autofocus for checking multiple inserts, capturing diameter and Z-plane consistency without manual input. Operators can prep tools while machines are running, replacing outdated methods like 1-2-3 blocks and saving 15 to 60+ minutes per setup depending on shop size and workload.

Steven Baier, vice president of sales for Haimer USA, demonstrated a couple of heat-shrink machines during Eastec 2023: the Power Clamp Premium i4.0 and the Power Clamp Air i4.0 Economic.
