Laser Tracker Rental Program

API has announced the launch of its laser tracker rental program. The program allows manufacturers to gain access to API’s benchmark Radian laser tracker to perform specific measurements, alignments and calibration tasks or overcome periods of bottleneck for its own portable measurement equipment. API trackers can be rented daily, weekly, monthly or for longer periods.

QS-L Vision Series Microscope

Mitutoyo America Corp. announces the release of the QS-L Vision Series to its Vision Measuring System Line. The new scope series features a high definition and high-speed auto focus 3-megapixel camera, a four-quadrant LED ring light using high-intensity to provide better observation performance and an interchangeable objective lens zoom unit that produces a very sharp image due to a high numerical aperture.

QM-Height Series High-Performance Height Gauge

Mitutoyo America Corp. announces the release of the QM-Height series high-performance height gauge to its small tools line. The QM-Height is used to measure height, height difference (step), inside/outside widths, inside/outside diameters, circle pitch, free-form surface maximum/minimum heights and height difference by scanning measurement. It features an accuracy of ±(2.4+2.1L/600) μm, and a built-in pneumatic flotation system enables smooth movement over a surface plate.

Artec Micro 3D Scanner

Exact Metrology announces the immediate availability of the new Artec Micro 3D scanner. The Artec Micro, an automated, metrology-grade desktop 3D scanner, is Artec 3D’s most accurate 3D scanner to-date and is used for scanning tiny mechanical parts, such as engine valves or connectors, for inspection and reverse engineering, as well as other small objects for industries such as heritage preservation, dentistry and medical.

HDV300 and HDV400 Benchtop Digital Video Comparators

The L.S. Starrett Co. has introduced a new generation of its HDV300 and HDV400 benchtop digital video comparators with impressive speed increases and improved illumination, design and convenience enhancements. CNC motion on the new HDV systems is significantly faster, enabling even greater user measurement throughput. At 10mm/ sec., speed on the Y-axis has tripled and X-axis speed has almost doubled at 45mm/ sec. In addition, improved LED ring lighting provides a more consistent illumination.

MarSurf VD Series

Mahr Inc. announced the addition of the variable-drive MarSurf VD series, which enables roughness and contour measurements to be performed on the same machine. The operator can easily and quickly change between a high-precision roughness probe system or a highly dynamic contour probe system, depending on the measuring task.
