Manufacturers contemplating taking Black Oxide finishing in-house have a low-cost entry option with the Birchwood Technologies BC40E TruTemp finishing system. The seven-tank process line, with full black oxide capabilities, comes complete with tank system, heaters, plumbing connections, tank lids, and chemical products, all for $9,900.

Osborn introduced its new line of abrasive products. The new line includes depressed-center grinding discs, cut-off discs and flap discs. All products are produced in Osborn’s new manufacturing facility in Germany.

The LUMICLAD finish from Birchwood Technologies forms a nearly non-dimensional black oxide finish on all aluminum surfaces. LUMICLAD is very durable, clean and tightly adherent to the metal substrate.

Guyson’s model RXS-400 (rotary index, twin spindle) machine, designed for cellular manufacturing, is a platform to use for building a precise robotic grit blaster. The Expanded version utilizes a FANUC M710 Robot which carries a bank of (8) Guyson Model 900 guns, mounted in a custom designed heavy duty cabinet with powered sliding door.
