April 01, 2010

Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH's BA 322 twin-spindle machining center from EMAG LLC USA has a 300mm distance between the two spindles, as well as two worktables. The BA 322 can be equipped with a twin-swivel trunnion and twin or quadruple 5-axis modules. The ballscrew-driven machine's monoblock design ensures that deflection is minimized and force distribution between the machining unit and workholding device remains optimal, according to the company. All axes travel at 75 m/min., and acceleration in the Z-axis is from 1.5g and up and 1g in the other axes.
