Vero Software Ltd., Cheltenham, England, appointed Hector Henry brand manager of its Alphacam CAD/CAM solution. Having been promoted from his role as lead applications engineer, his new post involves working closely with Strategic Product Director Raf Lobato in the evaluation of customers and stakeholders, as well as market conditions and innovations, to provide vision, leadership and a strong presence in today’s competitive global markets.

Henry has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, and his involvement with Alphacam dates to 1999 when he was hired as a field service engineer by SCM Group North America, Duluth, Ga., to install and service machinery, as well as install and train on Alphacam. This followed a position at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, where Henry was responsible for creating dedicated Alphacam curricula and delivering the content to both industry students and School of Architecture personnel. Rejoining SCM Group North America, he honed his skills as a post-processor writer while developing bespoke solutions in VBA, along with C++ and C#. Henry joined Alphacam in 2016 as lead applications engineer and is delighted to engage in his new role as the software’s brand manager.

“These are exciting times for the CAD/CAM/CAE market, and Hector is the ideal person to ensure Alphacam is constantly ahead of the game for delivering solutions for increasingly complex CNC machine tools at an ever-increasing speed,” Lobato said.
