Fairmont Supply appoints CEO

Fairmont Supply, Washington, Pa., which distributes industrial maintenance, repair and operation supplies in the United States, appointed Paul Fichiera CEO. He will be based at corporate headquarters and responsible for overall management and growth of the company and its subsidiaries.

"Fairmont has a loyal team of experienced associates, and I'm looking forward to working with the team to expand the company's penetration of key markets and product categories," Fichiera said.

He has spent more than 20 years in industrial supplies, serving in executive leadership positions with HD Supply Inc., Atlanta; GE Supply (now Gexpro/Rexel), Shelton, Conn.; and most recently FleetPride Inc., Las Colinas, Texas, the largest distributor of aftermarket truck and trailer parts in the U.S. At FleetPride, he was a vice president and led a $250 million business unit with 600-plus employees and 60 branch locations across 12 states. Fichiera's teams were recognized consistently for delivering above-market sales, profit and earnings growth while delivering exceptional results in safety performance and operational efficiency. At HD Supply, he held various vice presidential leadership positions and helped transition the company to private equity ownership while leading numerous organic growth and acquisition integration efforts across three business units. Prior to that, he was an executive with General Electric Co., Boston, and served in key leadership roles with the GE Supply and GE Appliances & Lighting business units. Fichiera started his career as a consulting manager with Accenture PLC (formerly Andersen Consulting), Dublin. While at Accenture, he led teams that introduced business-to-business digitization and e-commerce capabilities to the oil/gas industry.
