Tsugami/Rem Sales, Windsor, Conn., exclusive North American importer of Tsugami machine tools, will open a new Tsugami technical center in Fullerton, Calif.

"We plan to open the new center by the end of August," Tsugami/Rem Sales Vice President Mike Mugno said, "and we'll be extending invitations to visit the new facility to our booth visitors at the WESTEC show in September."

Mugno expects the new center to further accentuate the Tsugami brand in what he calls "a very important target market for Tsugami/Rem Sales." The new tech center, he added, would also benefit Tsugami/Rem Sales' distribution partner, Ellison Technologies, whose California locations are in Santa Fe Springs and Freemont.

"We'll be able to house more inventory, allowing customers to see several machine demonstrations at once," he noted.

The facility would also provide additional space for customer training and engineering services, such as preparing machines for turnkey delivery and producing run-off parts for customers.

"Our goal is to always be close to our customers," Mugno explained. "This new facility is a logical step for the customers we serve and the customers we hope to serve in that area."
