Star SU has partnered with the REGO-FIX Center for Machining Excellence (CME), to promote its growing capabilities with the Louis Belet line of Swiss cutting tools.
The new cooperation at the Whitestown, Indiana-based facility is one of many that the CME is planning as part of a large-scale collaboration to gather many different manufacturing technologies in one location at the new high-tech facility.
“We are very pleased to take part in the center not only to be featured among so many important industry providers, and other micro tooling experts, but also for the opportunity to display our unique solution products,” said Rick Falgiatano, business development manager.
The CME will regularly host machining events, such as the upcoming ‘Indy Days’ Open House taking place May 14th and 15th, to gather suppliers and customers for live demonstrations, networking, and to share application successes. Star SU personnel will attend these events to run demonstrations, answer questions, and discuss trends and techniques. In addition, Star Cutter will utilize the center to focus on training and education as well as sharing evolving technologies to improve machining performance for users across industries.
“The Louis Belet line of cutting tools rounds out the Star Cutter tool portfolio by adding both gear tool fine pitch designs and Round Tool micro sizes down to very small diameters (0.02 mm),” said Tim Murdock, Key Account Manager. “With this range we are able to bridge the gaps between man, method, material, and machine by applying new tooling technology to more efficiently process the parts.”
