Sandvik Coromant names new president of the Americas

Sandvik Coromant has appointed Veronica Messersmith as President of the Americas, effective March 11, 2024.

Messersmith brings more than 25 years of experience with Sandvik Coromant, having joined the company in 1998. She has held various roles within the organization, showcasing her expertise in production, operations, and sales leadership.

Messersmith’s significant achievements at Sandvik Coromant include her tenure as Regional Sales Manager, Director of Sales and Operations, and Sales Clusters Manager for the U.S. West region. She is known for her leadership qualities and values such as integrity, innovation, and collaboration. Her appointment exemplifies Sandvik Coromant's commitment to fostering talent from within and empowering its employees to reach their full potential.

Most recently, Messersmith served as acting president for the Americas while active in her full-time role as vice president of strategic relations for the Americas, where she oversaw global account management, machine tool solutions, and national channel strategy. Previously, she held leadership roles spanning regional and cluster sales management. A highlight was her successful tenure as Acting Cluster Manager for Mexico from 2022-2023, during which she drove collaborative initiatives to deliver strong business results.

In her new role, Messersmith will spearhead the company's strategic growth initiatives across North and South America.

Messersmith holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University and is an active member of various organizations, such as Women in Manufacturing, Women of Industrial Supply Executives, and the Industrial Supply Association.
