Parker Steel Co. appoints sales manager

Parker Steel Co., Maumee, Ohio, appointed James "Jamie" Kaufman sales manager of the company’s Maumee-based sales operation. He is responsible for developing and executing strategies to build incremental sales for Parker Steel’s metric metal supply business, as well as overseeing the efforts of the company’s sales team. In his new role, Kaufman is also a part of Parker Steel’s management team, reporting to president Jerry Hidalgo.

“Jamie’s experience and focus on managing our sales team and deploying initiatives to build additional sales will help us grow moving forward,” said Hidalgo. “Jamie brings 15 years of strong experience in sales and business development and more than 10 years of sales management.”

“As the newly appointed sales manager, my responsibilities will include implementing new best practices and structures to our sales operations, building on our successful history and launching new business development efforts aimed at securing our future,” said Kaufman. “My initial goals include expanding the markets that Parker Steel serves and increasing our client engagement strategies.”

Kaufman graduated from Ohio University with a degree in finance and has served in sales and business development and sales management positions at Eleetus, Impact Business Design Group and AboutGolf, Ltd.
