Sandvik Coromant recognized for cost savings by Stellar Industrial Supply

Stellar Industrial Supply recognized Sandvik Coromant with a Documented Cost Savings award at the company's annual “STARS” Supplier Summit on Jan. 15, 2020. Accepting the award for a second year in a row was John Kaleta, channel relationships manager at Sandvik Coromant.

Stellar Industrial Supply works with key supplier partners who mirror similar values, align with their value proposition and focus on delivering documented cost savings to mutual customers.

The Documented Cost Savings Program is a mutually beneficial program where customers agree to purchase a higher volume and wider range of products — but only once Stellar Industrial Supply has proven and documented cost savings to that customer.

This allows Stellar Industrial Supply to create ideal customer-supplier partnerships and act as advocates for its customers to maximize inventory turns, employee efficiency and profitability.

In 2019, Sandvik Coromant finished with $1,795,573 documented cost savings for the second-place award. For this achievement, Stellar Industrial Supply awarded Sandvik Coromant with $1,500 to donate to a charity of its choice. Sandvik Coromant is proud to gift this money to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital of Tacoma, Washington.

Kaleta said: “Sandvik Coromant is honored to be recognized as one of the two top suppliers for the 2019 Documented Cost Savings award by Stellar Industrial Supply. This acknowledgement confirms that the lean and sustainable mindset and principles our employees practice every day actively benefits our customers. We are especially proud to apply our winnings to the very deserving folks at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital of Tacoma. We look forward to continuing our efforts to document cost savings for our customers in 2020.”
