Cleaning Technologies names new innovation engineer

Greg AllenCleaning Technologies Group LLC, Cincinnati, Ohio, this week announced the promotion of Greg Allen to the position of innovation engineer, according to a Feb. 2 company news release. In his new role, Allen will lead Ransohoff Innovation efforts as well as coordinate R&D.

"Greg has been instrumental with the Innovation Engineering Management System (IEMS) at Ransohoff and has demonstrated the passion and capability to lead us forward in innovative ways," said company CEO Barney Bosse.

Allen joined the company in 2008 and has served in several positions, including mechanical product engineer, application engineer, innovation facilitator and, most recently, innovation engineer. In his new position, Allen will be the primary point of contact for new product and process improvements, and will provide early concept development, preliminary engineering and design work. He also will steer machine designs to be "easy to manufacture" with current processes or introduce new manufacturing processes if needed. The ultimate goal is to create new products that provide maximum customer value at a marketable price.

Allen is a graduate of Trine University, formerly known as Tri-State University, with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He also holds a Blue Belt in Innovation Engineering,  and is a member of the Innovation Leadership Roundtable sponsored by Techsolve.
