Bunting Magnetics names general manager for materials division

Bunting Magnetics Co., Newton, Kan., which produces a line of metal detection, magnetic separation and material handling equipment, recently promoted Robert Bunting to general manager of the company's Magnet Materials Division, which is located in Elk Grove Village, Ill.

Effective March 1, Bunting will oversee thousands of products sold through the Magnet Materials Division's recently revamped website, buymagnets.com, as well as through inside and outside sales initiatives.

"Robert’s aptitude, experience and contributions have been invaluable," said Bob Bunting, president and CEO of Bunting Magnetics. "I am confident his innovative thinking, sales and management skills will enhance this division’s growth, profitability and long-term strategic direction."

Robert Bunting worked at the company’s Newton, Kan., headquarters in both manufacturing and engineering throughout high school.  And after graduating from Rockhurst University, he became a member of the inside sales team at the Magnet Materials Division. His sales experience grew as an outside sales representative for the Standard Product Group, where he was recognized as one of the company’s top sales producers. Robert was most recently Product Manager for the Metal Detection Product Group, where he assumed all responsibility for sales and profitability for Metal Detection equipment.
