To greatly simplify the implementation of liquid cooling with torque motors and ease the mounting into direct-drive machine applications, ETEL announces that its TMB+ torque motor can now be ordered with a closed cooling jacket pre-built around it.

Dialight announced the launch of two new snap-in panel mount indicators for application in mounting holes over one-half inch. The new 653 and 654 Series, for 0.57” (14.7mm) and 0.657” (16.7mm) mounting holes, are our first snap-in panel mount LED indicators for mounting holes exceeding one-half inch, filling a gap in the industry for applications in process machinery, warning light panels and other indoor and enclosed applications. Both products are available in red, green, yellow and blue.

Hypertherm is shipping consumable kits for its XPR X-Definition Plasma systems. These new consumable starter kits are available with or without a torch for mild steel and nonferrous cutting applications. The kits include a variety of consumables to allow for cutting at different amperages, using all of the gas process types supported by the XPR170 and XPR300 systems.

igus has developed an exchange bearing for its drylin W linear guides that allows for swift replacement in high-frequency applications. To execute the exchange, users simply unlock the bearing, push out the old liner and replace it. The exchange bearing saves time and cost, and is available in sizes 16 and 20 for linear guides on the drylin W series, besides the standard installation size 10.

PI (Physik Instrumente) LP has released the new model E-619, a high-power piezo amplifier designed to drive high-capacitance multilayer piezo actuators with rapid rise times or high frequencies. As a special form of electro-ceramics, piezo materials are the industry standard when it comes to speed, force and precision in a small package.

Long machine tool axes are increasingly being equipped with linear drives, and HEIDENHAIN’s new LC 201 absolute linear scale was introduced to specifically meet those drive position feedback needs. This new scale is a single-section METALLUR tape encoder, which is suitable for use in linear motor applications that may be required to reach high acceleration levels within the linear drive systems.
