Modular Tooling System

The modular system has a selection of tool holders for turrets and other tool carrier interfaces based on common machine types. The matching grooving tool holders with integral coolant supply allow height adjustment of the cassettes and their mounting in the normal or overhead position, on the left or right of the holder.

CoroTap 100 and CoroTap 400

The next-generation CoroTap 100 and CoroTap 400, with optimized performance in aluminum, can meet very strict process security demands and offer a high level of reliability and consistent tool life. The CoroTap 100 straight flute tap features refined edge rounding that helps to remove burrs and improve surface finish. The CoroTap 400 forming tap has an optimized lobe shape developed for aluminum machining and a low friction-coefficient surface treatment for a smooth and polished thread surface finish.

New Chipbreaker for Machining Aluminum

WIDIATM has added an AL Geometry to its ISO Turning portfolio, strengthening its broad offering of affordable tooling solutions for small to medium sized machine shops, machining aluminum and non-ferrous materials. The AL Geometry insert is offered in two grades for increased machining versatility: an uncoated microfine carbide WU10HT grade and the PVD AlTiN coated grade, WU05PT.

AddMultiTurn Multi-Directional Turning Tool System

AddMultiTurn provides the flexibility for OD, face, and profile turning operations in multi directions, which include high-feed back (pull) turning method, allowing toolpaths that turn in the opposite direction of conventional turning process at higher feeds. Multi-directional turning optimizes the toolpaths by eliminating air cutting times, providing more productivity than conventional turning methods. The shapes of the AddMultiTurn inserts enable the user to achieve a much smaller entry angle and thinner chips for higher machining efficiency, which spreads load and heat over a longer cutting edge length, providing extended insert tool life.
