Thread Whirling Inserts

July 12, 2012

Utilizing simultaneous rotational and longitudinal movements, Carmex Whirling Inserts and holders deliver high production in high-precision parts such as dental implants and bone screws, as well as small automotive and semi-conductor components, and other parts made on Swiss-type machines.

Incorporating a whirling unit head equipped with eight cutting edges in contact with a rotating workpiece advanced longitudinally, the Carmex system generates extremely high surface quality, accurate geometry, and longer tool life. Further advantages include faster setup and the ability to compensate large helix angles by adjusting the unit.

All toolholders are standard and can be used for various applications. Inserts are specially generated for each individual application.
