NTK Cutting Tools has launched the new "ECO Series" line as an addition to its existing "Thread Whirling" product line. Compared to conventional Thread Whirling tools, the company says this new series offers significant cost advantages because it allows users to select the number of teeth and corners on the insert according to the workpiece. With this capability, production can be achieved at minimal cost.
Additionally, the new lineup includes cutters compatible with left-hand threads, which were not supported by the previous series, making it a versatile solution for a wider range of applications.

- Selectable Number of Teeth to Meet User Requirements
The conventional cutter had only 9 teeth, but now they can choose from 3, 6, or 9 teeth depending on their needs for productivity and surface finish quality. - Selectable Insert Corner Count Based on Production Volume
For small-lot production such as medical screws, you can choose 1-corner or 2-corner inserts depending on the lot size, helping to minimize production costs. - Standard Cutters for Left-Hand Threads . Previously, only right-hand thread cutters were available, but now cutters for left-hand threads are included in the standard lineup, making it possible to accommodate all types of thread shapes.
