A key component of this support for the aerospace industry is Sumitomo's compliance with, and registration to, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) program, which are U.S. government regulations that control the export of defense articles, services, and related technical data to protect national security.
"This certification," the company said in a statement, "is a milestone that underscores our commitment to upholding the highest standards of security and compliance. This not only enhances our reputation but also significantly expands our capabilities in the aerospace sector, allowing us to offer unparalleled support to our valued customers."

The Aerospace Business Development (ABD) team is dedicated to providing "top-tier support tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients within the aerospace industry," the company said. "The ABD team expertly navigates aerospace complexities by delivering innovative and compliant solutions that leverage extensive industry knowledge to ensure customer success.
Sumitomo’s ABD team is led by Jason Webb, Senior Sales Manager/Aerospace Business Development. Webb drives the strategic direction and oversees the management of aerospace
projects. He has over 25 years of sales, management and senior leadership experience with Sumitomo and has decades of experience within the industry.
With over fifty years of success in manufacturing in the United States, among industries such as automotive, Sumitomo says it now brings a strong passion for supporting customers within the Aerospace industry.
"As we continue to evolve and adapt in a rapidly changing industry landscape, our commitment to quality, safety, and compliance remains unwavering. We look forward to contributing to the success of our partners through innovative solutions and dedicated service."
